Brev announced a $3.3 million pre-seed round to fund AI agents that automatically track how companies perform against goals. The startup, founded by former Ally executive Chris Pitchford and former Meta senior engineer Vic Hu, says the technology will replace manual coordination that slows teams. In an industry where goal-tracking and performance-management tools coexist with a growing wave of AI meeting assistants, Brev positions itself at the intersection. The company notes that Microsoft discontinued Viva Goals in 2025, leaving a gap in the market that its solution could fill. The pre-seed round was led by Resolute Ventures , with participation from ShuckerVC , Duro VC , Gaingels and FOG Ventures . Brev plans to use the capital to expand its engineering team and deepen integrations with tools such as Slack, Jira and Salesforce. Its self-serve product, priced on a usage basis, is already being used by companies including RecordPoint , Flex and Patlytics . Pitchford explained that "everything is grounded in quotes from participants, which keeps the AI accurate and unlocks context that would otherwise be lost across hundreds of meetings every quarter." The startup's AI agents join stand-ups, business reviews and other internal meetings, automatically updating goals and flagging risks. The company also pulls data from its integrated tools, generates agendas and tracks follow-through on action items. Looking ahead, Brev aims to move beyond tracking into actively driving execution for its customers, coordinating across teams and tools with AI. The company is based in San Francisco, with Hu based in the Seattle area and founding engineer Benn Graham in Toronto. It has contractors across multiple time zones and is hiring.
