Unique Group is expanding its subsea mechanical division with new systems and tools aimed at supporting offshore decommissioning, installation and construction projects. The move is designed to reduce interface complexity and improve execution efficiency on offshore projects.

The investment strengthens the company’s ability to deliver integrated subsea services, combining excavation, cutting, lifting and recovery operations within a single framework.

The expanded portfolio includes hydraulic subsea shears, diamond wire saws, recovery grabs and back‑deck support equipment. A key component is the Uni‑FlowX controlled mass flow excavation system, which enables non‑contact trenching and asset exposure for both construction and late‑life decommissioning work.

Karl Dale, vice president of subsea mechanical, said, "This investment strengthens our ability to deliver integrated mechanical spreads at scale," and added that there is increasing demand for coordinated solutions that reduce interface complexity. The company also expanded its engineering and manufacturing support, with more than 650 personnel globally, including in‑house engineering teams providing design, analysis and project‑specific tooling for offshore operations.

With the new capabilities, Unique Group is positioned to offer a streamlined, single‑point solution for complex offshore removal and installation campaigns, potentially shortening project timelines and lowering costs for operators.
