JDR Cable Systems has been awarded a contract by Amplitude Energy Ltd. to supply subsea control umbilicals for the East Coast Supply Project offshore Victoria, Australia.

The scope includes approximately 18 km of hydraulic control umbilicals, with an option for an additional 13 km, depending on drilling results. The system will support gas production tied back to the Athena Gas Plant, which has a processing capacity of up to 150 TJ/d and supplies gas to markets across Victoria and South Australia.

JDR will also deliver associated subsea distribution equipment, including umbilical termination assemblies and electrical and hydraulic flying leads. The umbilicals are designed to integrate with existing subsea infrastructure, extending the operational life of current assets.

Manufacturing will take place at the company's Hartlepool facility in the UK, with delivery aligned to an offshore installation campaign scheduled for 2027.

"This contract reflects JDR's capability in delivering subsea control umbilicals for complex offshore developments," said JK Lim, Regional Sales Manager. "We look forward to supporting long-term gas supply for Victoria."
