Subsea7 has been awarded a $150‑$300M engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract by ExxonMobil for a subsea tie‑back project offshore Angola. The deal will extend production life in the mature deepwater Block 15, a key area for incremental recovery.
The award underscores the continued focus on subsea tie‑back developments in West Africa, where operators seek to maximize recovery from established fields.
The project, part of the Redevelopment 2.0 Likembe Project in Block 15, will be executed through the Subsea Integration Alliance, a partnership between Subsea7 and SLB OneSubsea. Subsea7 will manage project engineering and installation, while SLB OneSubsea will deliver the umbilical scope. Engineering and project management will be carried out across Subsea7’s global offices, including Paris, Luanda, Lisbon and Sutton, with umbilical manufacturing supported from Norway.
Olivier Blaringhem, CEO of Subsea Integration Alliance, said, “This award further strengthens our relationship with ExxonMobil,” noting the role of early collaboration in optimizing project execution.
